Where it is used

Our core product, supplied in any quantity from 5 litres to 5,000 litres. Used for cryopreservation of biological samples, hospital and dermatological cryotherapy, laboratory work and metal treatment.

  • IVF & fertility

Keeps eggs, sperm and embryos in cryocans at −196 °C, where biological activity effectively stops. Regular top-ups keep the samples covered.

  • Hospitals

Cryosurgery in the operating theatre and storage of blood, tissue and other biological samples.

  • Dermatology

Cryotherapy sprays and probes freeze warts, skin tags and other lesions in seconds, right in the clinic.

  • Research labs

Snap-freezing tissue, storing cell lines, and cooling instruments and cold traps.

  • Industry

Shrink-fitting parts, cryogenic treatment of tools and purging pipelines with dry, inert nitrogen gas.

Safety: Displaces oxygen as it boils off, and causes cold burns on contact. Use in ventilated rooms with cryogenic gloves and a face shield.

Safety first

Handling liquid nitrogen safely

Liquid nitrogen is safe when it is handled with respect. These are the basics we share with every new client.

Ventilate

Liquid nitrogen turns into a large volume of gas that displaces oxygen. Store and use it only in well-ventilated rooms, never in a closed cabin or lift.

Protect skin and eyes

At −196 °C it can cause cold burns in seconds. Wear cryogenic gloves and a face shield when pouring or handling samples.

Never seal it

Use only proper cryocans with loose-fitting lids. A sealed bottle or flask can burst as the liquid boils off.

Keep it upright

Move cryocans upright and carefully, using the handles or a trolley. Do not drop, tilt or roll them.
